The Fireplace Gallery, Beechwood Avenue, Mutley, Plymouth -

'The Fireplace Gallery' is a Plymouth based gallery, sited in a domestic, unused fireplace, showcasing micro-exhibitions by emerging and established artists. The artists who are showcased in The Fireplace Gallery have all, at some time, stayed (as guests) in the proprietors (Hannah Jones & Neil Rose) home.

The 6 exhibitions respond to the specific nature of the gallery and its physical constraints (a small, recess/nook space measuring 37cm x 30cm x 57cm). The gallery also features a ‘sister space’ with a specially installed artwork by Richard Dedomenici featured on the gallery’s adjoining ‘Mantle Space’ and a gallery shop, showcasing artist’s ephemera, limited editions and works made for this context.

The gallery is open every Sunday from 3.00-6.00pm from the 18th Sept – 4th Dec.

We look forward to welcoming you in our home!

As of December the 5th 2011, the Fireplace Gallery is temporarily closed, to be kept up to date with information about future developments please email:
